Green & Gold Gala

Friday, May 1, 2026
6:30 PM - 10:30 PM

The Green & Gold Gala is Lane Tech's largest parent-driven, community fundraising event. This special evening brings together parents, friends, and supporters of Lane for a night of celebration, connection, and giving back.

The success of the Gala helps fund important programs and improvements not covered by CPS funding, including teacher grants, modernization of Lane's aging facilities, and more.

We invite you to join Lane's incredible community for a memorable evening in support of the students, teachers, and programs that make Lane Tech exceptional.

~Before You Arrive~

Save time at check in by registering all guests, logging into your Give Smart account to verify account and credit card information, and arrive with a fully charged battery on your mobile device.

To help make your Gala experience smooth and enjoyable, we encourage all guests to save a credit card to their event profile in advance.

  • Having a card on file will:
  • Speed up check-in and registration when you arrive
  • Allow you to quickly and easily participate in the auction and raffles
  • Enable fast and secure checkout at the end of the evening
  • Help you avoid waiting in lines so you can spend more time enjoying the event

Adding a credit card ahead of time is secure and optional, but it greatly helps streamline the evening for everyone. Thank you for helping us make check-in quick and easy!

Please make sure your billing information is correct, so that any awarded items are processed correctly.

*For all purchases that require shipping, the credit card on file will be charged a shipping fee.

~ Get Involved ~

Looking for a fun way to get involved in the gala and meet other Lane parents? Consider hosting a parent party!

Tickets to parent parties will be part of the online auction at this year's Green & Gold Gala and we're looking for hosts. Here's how it works:

  1. Organize a group to host a party. You don't have to do it alone--strength in numbers! Looking to meet new people? Let us know and we'll connect you with other interested parents.

  2. Pick a theme! Ideas include: Pickleball, wine tasting, "class of" parties, costume parties (80's rock and roll, etc.), progressive dinner, etc.

  3. You purchase the supplies, food, etc. and provide the venue (a home or somewhere else).

  4. FOL sells tickets to your party at the gala and all proceeds go directly to Lane!

If you're interested in getting involved, let us know! Email us at [email protected]

Want to help before the big night? Here are 3 EASY ways:

1. Share our Donations Letter with business you frequent - Donations Letter

Many of our best auction items come from parent workplace connections. If you're willing to help, there are two simple ways to do it-no hard selling required!

2. Ask Your Employer Directly

If your company offers:

  • Corporate donations
  • Gift cards
  • Experiences
  • Product bundles
  • Employee-led community giving

…we'd love for you to make the request on our behalf.

We'll give you everything you need-a short blurb, nonprofit details, and a donation form-so this takes just a few minutes. Toolkit here! Sample email template you can copy and paste.

3. Make a Warm Introduction (We'll Take It From There)

Not comfortable asking directly? No problem at all.

If you can:

  • Introduce us to your company's community giving, marketing, HR, or CSR contact,
  • Or Loop us into an email

We're happy to handle the ask and follow-up.

You open the door. Friends of Lane does the rest. Toolkit here! Sample email template you can copy and paste.
