In 2026, WE CAN proudly celebrates 25 years of being a place where women thrive, alongside a special milestone, the 20th anniversary of A Day of Words, Wit, and Wisdom (W3)!

Founded with a vision to empower Cape Cod women to create pathways to stability and independence, WE CAN has grown from serving just 15 women in our first year to supporting more than 1,500 individual women each year through free and confidential services. For a quarter century, women have turned to WE CAN for legal consults, career and small business support, financial education, mentoring, and personal development. Many participants engage in multiple services as they build stronger and more secure futures.

Our impact is powered by community. More than 300 dedicated volunteers, including attorneys, financial professionals, and career specialists, generously share their time and expertise. This commitment is strengthened by individual donors, local businesses, private foundations, and event sponsors whose generosity ensures WE CAN's services remain accessible and free across Cape Cod.

A Day of Words, Wit, and Wisdom (W3) has been a cornerstone of this work for two decades. Now celebrating its 20th year, this beloved event has become a signature gathering that raises critical funds while bringing people together around storytelling, inspiration, and shared purpose.

Hosted at the stunning Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port, W3 includes engaging talks from a special all-star panel of past authors, and will hold a few more exciting surprises!

The morning also features powerful testimonials from three WE CAN participants whose stories demonstrate the life changing impact of WE CAN's integrated support. A lively question and answer session with the authors invites connection and conversation. This year's program is one to be excited about!

W3 Lineup

WE CAN is thrilled to welcome an all-star lineup of past W3 favorites in celebration of our 20th anniversary!

Anne LeClaire will serve as our emcee, guiding the day with her signature warmth and presence.

We're honored to feature acclaimed authors Hank Phillippi Ryan, Jane Hamilton, Stephen McCauley, and Karen Joy Fowler, who will share their voices, stories, and reflections as we celebrate two decades of A Day of Words, Wit & Wisdom together.
