The amount of a contribution that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the amount contributed, reduced by the value of any goods or services provided by the organization. Accordingly, $50 of each gala ticket is eligible for an income tax deduction. For sponsors and table champions, once you have selected which benefits you wish to claim, IFAW will issue an acknowledgment letter that includes the required information, including a good-faith estimate of the FMV of any benefits provided.
