Sponsorship Opportunities
The Bill Scharrenberg Memorial Golf Tournament is where community, competition, and purpose meet on the fairway.
Your sponsorship puts your name and brand directly in front of engaged, generous members of the community who chose to spend their time making a difference. This is your opportunity to align your business with a cause that matters, support groundbreaking research, and be part of a day that proves fighting childhood cancer can start right here, on a beautiful course, with good people and a shared purpose.

About Unravel & The Tournament's Legacy
Unravel Pediatric Cancer was created out of love, loss, and the urgent need for change. Founded by Libby and Tony Kranz after the death of their beautiful daughter Jennifer "JLK" Kranz in 2014 from DIPG, an aggressive and fatal brain cancer, Unravel is dedicated to funding innovative pediatric cancer research through awareness and action. Jennifer's story, and the cell line created from her tumor, continue to impact research around the world-driving progress where it's desperately needed.
The Bill Scharrenberg Memorial Golf Tournament is a living legacy of that mission. Started by Jennifer's grandfather, "Papa" Bill, the tournament began as a way to honor her life and support research at Stanford. After Bill's passing in 2021, the tournament was renamed in his memory. Over the years, it has become more than a fundraiser-it's a community of supporters committed to making a real difference in the lives of children with cancer.
Together, Unravel and this tournament represent hope, impact, and the unwavering belief that knowledge-like glitter-sticks, and once you know better, you do better. Proceeds from the golf tournament will go toward funding innovative, cutting-edge research and supporting Unravel Pediatric Cancer's mission.
In Loving Memory
We deeply miss Bill "Papa" Scharrenberg, whose unmatched devotion helped shape this tournament into the incredible success it is today. His leadership, passion, and love were the heart of this event-and while his presence is missed beyond words, we carry his spirit with us in every detail. We know he's proud of the impact we continue to make in his honor.

You don't have to swing a club to be part of the tournament. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make the day run seamlessly - from set-up and player check-in to running on-course contests and assisting with the post-tournament dinner and awards. Volunteering is a fun, meaningful way to be part of the day, support a cause that matters, and connect with your community. If you'd like to join our volunteer team, we'd love to have you.
