Blessings Across Long Island is a local initiative under the national Blessings in a Backpack umbrella, which provides weekend food for students in the Longwood School District, Sachem School District, Long Island Head Start, Tri-CYA, and David Patterson at Hempstead School District. In 2024, the volunteers at Longwood saw a greater need and decided to expand their fundraising efforts to feed students in other school districts, thus was born Blessings Across Long Island. Now serving 1200 children each school weekend. Join us on May 8, 2026 at The Meadow Club for our annual Dinner Dance event - your support will help fight food insecurity right here in our community.
