Event Overview:

The 5th Annual Scramble for Syngap Golf Tournament Presented By RYOBI will take place October 3, 2026, at Greer Golf in Greer, South Carolina. This purpose-driven event brings golfers, families, and community members together in support of CURE SYNGAP1 and its mission to advance research and awareness for SYNGAP1-Related Disorders. Through this tournament, we are helping move research forward and creating hope for effective treatments - and ultimately, a cure.

Why this Event Matters:

SYNGAP1-Related Disorders (SRD) are ultra-rare genetic disorders that affect nearly 500 families across the United States and over 1,700 worldwide. Caused by a variant on the SYNGAP1 gene, SRD disrupts critical brain development and can lead to intellectual disability, epilepsy, autism, behaviors, and communication challenges.

CURE SYNGAP1 is a family-led nonprofit dedicated to funding research, advancing therapies, and supporting families impacted by this disorder. Events like the Scramble for Syngap play a vital role in accelerating progress and bringing hope to the community.

- 7:00 AM - Check-In Opens, Breakfast

- 8:20 AM - Morning Announcements

- 8:30 AM - Shotgun Start
