Fashion for Compassion returns in April 2026 after its wonderful debut in April 2024!

This signature celebration of empathy, kindness, and compassion brings together friends and supporters of To Be Like Me for a memorable evening that shines a spotlight on our LEADers, the heart and soul of our important work.

We are thrilled to welcome Project Runway designer Nancy Volpe Beringer to Fashion for Compassion for the first time. Nancy made history as the oldest designer to compete on Project Runway at age 64 and finished as the runner-up with a powerful finale collection that showcased zero waste design and models of many sizes, races, gender identities, and abilities.

Nancy's couture brand is known for its artistry, sustainability, and inventive fabric techniques, and she is also the founder of The Vault by Volpe Beringer, the first luxury designer resale platform to offer free adaptive design consultations for people living with disabilities. Her dedication to sustainability, representation, and adaptive fashion aligns beautifully with our mission to build communities where everyone feels valued. She will be joining us from Philadelphia to create custom looks for our LEADers, adding a meaningful and unforgettable moment to the evening.

Guests will enjoy a seated dinner, a memorable runway moment with our LEADers, and a silent and live auction. Proceeds from Fashion for Compassion support the meaningful work we do every day at To Be Like Me as we spark ripples of empathy, kindness, and compassion throughout North Texas and beyond.
