REGISTER TODAY FOR THE 27TH ANNUAL BRPF GOLF OUTING!
MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2026 | KETTLE HILLS GOLF COURSE
Dear Friends,
I'm excited to invite you to our 27th Annual BRPF Golf Outing and Auction, taking place on Monday, June 1, 2026. This signature event is the highlight of our Week of Giving, Golf, and Gratitude, and we're eager to make it another unforgettable day on the course. Last year's outing was blessed with beautiful weather and incredible camaraderie, and we're hoping for another perfect day to bring our community together.
Your unwavering support has been the driving force behind the BRPF Golf Outing's success year after year. Thanks to your generosity, we have raised over $8 million, all dedicated to advancing research toward a cure for paralysis. With help from dedicated medical researchers and scientists, we are making meaningful progress. However, there is still important work to be done, and we need you with us on this journey.
I encourage you to gather your golf foursome and be a part of the cure! The outing fills up quickly every year, so we recommend registering as soon as possible to secure your spot.

Spinal Cord Injury Research is Critical
"Research into spinal cord injury is critical. Research demands resources, especially financial resources. Organizations like BRPF are key to spinal cord injury research with their research grants funding "out of the box" ideas that could lead to cures.
Spinal cord injury spares no one! It does not discriminate on the basis of age, upbringing, race, social or economic status of the individual. It could be you; it could be me. As a surgeon, my most difficult job is to deliver that news to a newly paralyzed patient from a spinal cord injury. I never get used to it.
Spinal cord injury is personal to me. Over 20 years ago, BRPF funded a project to develop a novel imaging technology to treat spinal cord injury patients. The work we did has resulted in over $3,000,000 in additional funding. More importantly, based on the technology we worked on, I injected stem cells into a paralyzed patient who has now regained use of his hands.
This is the essence of what BRPF does. They provide the seed funding for research that helps researchers like us develop concepts, generate treatments, and get a young man who was paralyzed from the neck down to be able to use his hands."

Research Grants
We are confident that a cure for paralysis is within reach. Each year, we proudly award research grants to outstanding scientists and leading research institutions across the United States. We recognize that discovering a cure will likely be the result of many innovative ideas working together, not just a single breakthrough. That's why we invest in pilot projects-supporting fresh, promising concepts that might otherwise go unfunded.
Our strong partnership with the Medical College of Wisconsin ensures that our resources are directed to the most deserving researchers and transformative ideas. Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, we can keep the momentum going and empower researchers to stay dedicated to finding a cure for paralysis.
With your support, hope becomes action-and the dream of a cure moves closer to reality.
Charitable Grants
Supporting individuals living with the life-changing effects of spinal cord injuries is one of our top priorities. We recognize that the financial burden of these injuries can be overwhelming, sometimes as challenging as the injury itself. To help ease this strain, we offer charitable grants directly to individuals in need. These grants assist with essential expenses such as wheelchair-accessible van modifications, specialized wheelchairs, and home ramps, making daily life more manageable and restoring independence.
Scholarships
At BRPF, we are dedicated to supporting individuals living with paralysis by investing in their future through education. We offer scholarships for both the spring and fall semesters to empower those affected by paralysis, providing opportunities to further their education and unlock new possibilities. We are inspired by the courage and perseverance these individuals demonstrate as they work toward their goals and enrich our community.
