BUY HEREMark your calendars, because the SJC Green & White Gala returns Friday, Feb. 27!
This signature event brings our SJC community together for an unforgettable evening of great food, drinks, dancing, and fundraising in support of our teachers and school.
This year's theme, "Luck of the Wildcats: Faith, Fun and a Wee Bit O' Luck," kicks off the St. Patrick's Day season and celebrates the green we proudly wear at SJC.
Gala proceeds help bridge the funding gap for our teachers and school community. They help offset the school's general operating expenses and support student learnings resources, closing the gap between tuition and the true cost to run our fantastic school. They also go to benefit the Teacher Recognition Trust, an endowment which for 36 years has provided an annual monetary gift to faculty and continuing education grants to teachers.

The Green & White Gala dress code is fun and festive. Anything from cocktail attire to jeans and a going out top can fit the bill. As long as you feel great and are ready to have a great time, you're dressed right. This year, we recommend at least a touch of green in honor of both our theme and our school colors.
Where will I be seated?
The gala is open seating, so grab some friends and pick a table or mix and mingle to meet new SJC families.
How will we raise money?
In addition to ticket sales, the gala includes a raffle, silent auction, live auction and paddle raise.
How will the money be spent?
Proceeds from ticket sales, the raffle and auctions will be split between the school and the Teacher Recognition Trust. The paddle raise directly supports the TRT.
Why does the school need to raise money?
While SJC tuition covers the majority of expenses, there remains a funding gap between the cost of tuition and the true cost of an SJC education. Fundraisers including the Fun Run, Annual Fund and Green & White Gala help bridge that gap.
What is the TRT?
The Teacher Recognition Trust, formerly known as the Endowment Fund, was established 36 years ago by a group of SJC parents who wanted to help close the gap between SJC teachers' archdiocese-mandated salaries and those of local public schools. In short, they recognized that SJC teachers earn less than local counterparts, and they wanted to recognize, reward and retain those exceptional educators. Today, the TRT continues to "bonus" retiring and returning teachers each year as a significant statement of parents' and the parish community's gratitude for their commitment to Catholic education.
