This celebratory luncheon brings together friends, partners and changemakers to recognize those addressing hunger, homelessness and domestic violence in North Coast San Diego. Since 1979, Community Resource Center has been walking alongside community champions to address hunger, homelessness and domestic violence. The Community Impact Awards recognize those who take action - often behind the scenes - to create measurable, lasting change for our most vulnerable neighbors. Together, we'll celebrate both familiar faces and new champions while lifting up the shared commitment that connects hearts and changes lives.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Ken Druck

A Del Mar resident, Dr. Ken Druck will join us as we celebrate this year's award finalists and the people and partners strengthening our community. His keynote will share an uplifting message about skillfully turning care into action.
Dr. Druck is one of the world's leading experts on traumatic loss and resilience. Since losing his own daughter in a tragic accident, he has supported families affected by 9/11, Sandy Hook and Columbine. Dr. Druck has dedicated his life to providing simple roadmaps for getting through life's most daunting and difficult challenges. He is a bestselling author of several books, including his most recent, How We Go On: Self-Compassion, Courage, and Gratitude on the Path Forward. He is a recipient of the Distinguished Contribution to Psychology Award.

Parking Instructions:
Parking at the Lomas Santa Fe Country Club is accessible and free of charge. When you enter the country club, parking is available throughout all lots located to your left and right. Wayfinders will help direct you to parking and the event. If you are in need of ADA parking, wayfinders will direct you to the closest accessible parking.
Food:
Guests will enjoy a casual luncheon featuring a choice of one entree:
Roasted chicken breast with lemon-thyme butter sauce and crispy fried leeks, jasmine rice and seasonal vegetables. Lemon raspberry cake.
(GF) Seared salmon with white wine, lemon and caper sauce, jasmine rice and seasonal vegetables. Sorbet.
(Vegan/GF) Stuffed poblano pepper (not spicy) with vegetable quinoa, avocado creme, yellow pepper coulis, over black bean puree. Sorbet.

Annual Impact
Established in 1979, Community Resource Center (CRC) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to help our neighbors create paths to healthy food, stable homes and safe relationships. CRC provides emergency assistance, case management, counseling, shelter, and food assistance to low-income individuals and families who are economically vulnerable, experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of homelessness, including domestic violence survivors. Impacting over 8,600 San Diegans annually, CRC was honored in 2024 by the San Diego Business Journal as Large Nonprofit of the Year, and CRC CEO, John Van Cleef, was named Large Nonprofit Executive of the Year.
