This year, Island School's much-anticipated annual Gala Auction will be held on our campus for the first time ever - set against the backdrop of our expansive campus and the heights of Hā'upu, and gathered beneath the same stars our Voyagers use to chart their courses. We are thrilled to celebrate with you on our campus home. This event offers a rare opportunity to experience firsthand what you so generously support - Island School's mission: Educating the mind, Inspiring the heart. Preparing Kaua'i youth to lead lives of significance.

ISLAND SCHOOL GALA FAQ'S

  • How do I purchase tickets or become a sponsor? Purchase a table or individual tickets, or consider increasing your impact by becoming a sponsor. All options are available through the Gala website.
  • What food and beverages will be served? Guests will enjoy passed pupu, dinner, and dessert. Wine is included with your ticket, and a no-host bar will offer beer, custom cocktails, and creative mocktails.
  • What time does the event begin? The Gala begins at 5:00 pm with registration, a welcome drink, and passed pupu.
  • When is the auction? The silent auction will be open from 5:00-9:30 pm.  The live auction will begin shortly after 7:30 pm.
  • Where is the event located on campus?  The Gala will be held under a grand tent on the mauka side of the upper field with an expansive view of Hau'pu and our campus.
  • What is the attire?  Hawai'i Elegant. This is a rare occasion to dress up!
  • Will there be entertainment?  Yes! Guests will enjoy live music throughout dinner, followed by dancing under the stars to the incredible sounds of Greenstone Project after the live auction.
  • Do I have to be present at the Gala to bid?  Not at all. If you can't join us in person, you may still participate by bidding online between 5:00 and 9:30 pm HST via the Gala website. To place an absentee bid on live auction items, please email Megan Clifton at m.clifton@ischo​ol.org prior to Friday, March 6.
  • Where should I park?  Parking will be available on the upper center field.

All sales and bids are FINAL. There will be no refunds or exchanges. Many of the items have specific conditions such as time limits or availability. All auction items or services must be used by the specified expiration date. The descriptions of the articles sold are believed to be accurate; however, neither Island School nor the auctioneer assumes any responsibility for inaccuracies. According to the Internal Revenue Service, "only the amount paid for an item in excess of the actual fair market value is tax deductible." Hawaiʻi General Excise Tax of 4.71% will be added to the final fees for auction items. This tax does not apply to direct donations for financial aid.
