METALLURGICAL & MATERIALS ENGINEERING SUMMER PROGRAM

High school students are invited to apply to participate in our Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Summer Program. This week-long residential program is for rising high school juniors and seniors interested in exploring careers in science or engineering.
The program features hands-on learning in our outstanding materials labs in addition to field trips, visits to local industrial operations, and guest speakers. Informative lectures about the activities and field trips will also be featured to delve into the science behind what students will be working on. The culminating experience is a design-oriented project to spur friendly competition and emphasize the advantages and benefits of collaboration.
Lodging, meals, and all course materials will be provided free of charge (participants will be responsible for transportation to and from the campus).
To apply, click the button below and fill out the application form by March 31, 2026. Spaces are limited, so we encourage interested students to apply as soon as possible. Successful applicants will be notified by April 18, 2026 and asked to complete confirmation forms that includes parental consent.

Please note:
- Applications without the required reference letter from a science teacher, math teacher, or non-family member STEM mentor (submitted to [email protected]) by the time applications close will not be considered.
- Successful applicants that do not submit the confirmation forms by the date requested will forfeit their spot.
