In 1976, Jeffco made a bold investment in the future of Outdoor Lab by opening a second Outdoor Education Laboratory School just outside Bailey, Colorado. Windy Peak welcomed thousands of sixth-grade students to the campus, marking an unforgettable milestone in our community's history. Now, in 2026, Windy Peak turns 50 and it's time to celebrate.

Join the Outdoor Lab Foundation for After Dark 2026, our annual night of impact, as we toast to the experiences shared and the lives changed at both Outdoor Lab campuses. Your support ensures that future generations of students continue to learn, explore, and thrive in our remarkable outdoor classrooms.

So dust off your hiking gear and pack your sense of nostalgia-After Dark 2026 is coming your way on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 4:30-9:30 PM at the Denver Marriott West Hotel in Golden.

Just like last year, we're embracing the essence of Outdoor Lab and bringing the outside in. The dress code is "camp casual," think cozy flannels, rugged boots, your favorite hat. Bonus points if you wear your original name badge from when you were a camper! Don't have one? You'll have a chance to decorate your own!
