This reception is, in many ways, a reunion. Former beneficiaries, supporters, volunteers, corporate partners, and board members come together not only to reflect on the journeys that brought us here, but to reaffirm a shared commitment to the work ahead. It is also Hostage US's largest fundraising event of the year, and a critical source of support for the services we provide every day.
Since our founding, Hostage US has built a trusted, independent model of care, offering practical, emotional, and financial support to families, and continuing that support as individuals return home and rebuild their lives. We are solely funded by philanthropy: while we work closely and collaboratively with government partners, it is the generosity of donors that allows us to remain responsive, flexible, and family-centered throughout the entire hostage lifecycle.
The evening will feature a brief program highlighting the impact of the past decade and, more importantly, the vision for the decade ahead. While we will honor the milestones and moments that shaped Hostage US, the focus of the evening is forward-looking, ensuring we are prepared, resourced, and resilient as global risks evolve and the need for independent support remains urgent.
Guests will have the opportunity to invest directly in this work through a live giving moment and a silent auction, in addition to ticket purchases and sponsorship support. Every contribution helps sustain and strengthen Hostage US's ability to stand with families until their loved ones are home-and until they are whole.
We are deeply grateful to the sponsors whose partnership makes this evening possible, and to the community of supporters who believe that no family should navigate wrongful detention alone.
We look forward to welcoming you for an evening that is part reunion, part call to action, and wholly dedicated to advancing Hostage US's mission into its next decade of service.
