Patrick Robinson's 15th Annual Chef Showcase

Rocky Mountain Health Care Services (RMHCS) is excited to announce our Chef Showcase is back for its 15th year, now called the Patrick Robinson's Chef Showcase, on Monday, April 13, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Hotel Polaris at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

The annual event features local chefs who serve their best dishes, competing against each other to win Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals as judged by guests of the event who vote for their favorite dishes.

The Chef Showcase allows us to share our work to promote independence for our participants while our guests enjoy a relaxed and fun atmosphere with excellent food and networking opportunities. There isn't another event in the Springs like it!

Chef Patrick Robinson
We lost our friend and hero, Chef Patrick Robinson on July 22, 2021.

Patrick was born in Schenectady, NY on July 26, 1955. Upon graduating from high school, he pursued a career as a professional chef, which ultimately took him to Colorado Springs.

Patrick began working at Rocky Mountain Health Care Services in 2007 after retiring from The Steaksmith. In 2011, the first annual "Chef Showdown: Old Versus New" was Patrick's brainchild. It began as a fundraiser for the programs of Rocky Mountain and was a unique event that allowed attendees to mix and mingle at the chefs' tables and network with others from the community. Today, that event has become the Chef Showcase. In honor of his legacy, we have renamed the event Patrick Robinson's Chef Showcase.

As a born and bred New Yorker, Patrick was direct and tough. However, he also had a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. Above all else, Patrick loved his family and found great joy in being a father and grandfather. Chef Patrick is missed by all that were blessed to enjoy his company.
