What is Advent By Candlelight?

We look forward to the Christmas season with a mixture of warmth and weariness, excitement and anxiety. We stress out over our to-do list, we obsess over Pinterest ideas, lose sleep over Elf-on-the-Shelf, and triple check our card and gift lists, praying we haven't forgotten anyone.

Advent by Candlelight is an opportunity for women to set aside the hustle and bustle of holiday preparation and focus their minds and hearts on the birth of Christ. This will be an evening to enjoy food, friendship, Christmas music and a meaningful teaching to set the pace for a peaceful Christmas season. 

Who Is Invited?

All women are invited to attend, parishioners and non-parishioners, Catholic and non-Catholic.

What is the cost?

$20 per person. Includes dinner, coffee, dessert, speaker and entertainment. Cash bar available. No outside alcohol permitted. No tickets are sold at the door - space is limited, so be sure to reserve early!

Featured Speaker:  Jennifer Meehan

Jennifer Meehan serves as the Director of Pastoral Ministry for the Southern Vicariate. She brings to this role nearly 20 years of experience in faith formation and retreat direction. In addition to her role in the Archdiocese, she is a Spiritual Director and a member of the Preaching Team for Kings House Retreats at the Shrine of Our Lady of Snows. Jennifer and her husband, Jim, have 3 adult children. They live on 3 acres of woods in Arnold, which they are slowly "re-wilding" and returning to its natural state.
