This event is happening at a critical time as global support and resources for communities in extreme poverty decline. In response, CFK is launching an ambitious vision to empower 1 million youth in slums-the future of Africa.

Recognized as a Time magazine and Gates Foundation "Hero of Global Health," CFK Africa empowers youth in slums through healthcare, education, girls empowerment, sports, & workforce development. Co-founded in 2001 by Rye Barcott, CFK began with a $26 investment to an unemployed nurse and has grown into a leading, internationally recognized non-profit and proud affiliate of UNC Chapel Hill.
