Carol Ann Savage
"Floral Murrini Cane in Soft Glass"
Flameworking/Murrine/Beadmaking
June 15 - 19, 2026

In this class students will learn to create 3D floral murrini cane which can then be embedded and encased in both beads and marbles. At the torch students will develop the ability to handle larger masses of glass and pull delicate flower cane. Overall design and encasement techniques will be an integral part of this class, as well as the use of a variety of glasses for a vibrant color palate. This class uses soda lime (soft) glass.

This class meets from 9am to 5pm each day, Monday through Friday, with additional studio time Monday through Thursday, from 5pm to 9pm. Materials for participating in the course are included. If you have specific colors you are interested in working with please bring them with you.
