Snyder County Libraries is thrilled to invite you to a spectacular affair - the 20th Annual Evening of Wine and Art at Shade Mountain Winery on October 4th, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Prepare for an unforgettable experience as we celebrate the fusion of art and wine while supporting a great cause!

Our silent auction will feature items generously donated by local businesses and individuals. Get ready to bid on unique treasures, exquisite art pieces, and exclusive experiences. Your support in the silent auction will directly benefit Snyder County Libraries and our mission to promote literature and learning throughout the community.

We offer both in-person and virtual attendance options. Whether you join us physically or from the comfort of your home, we promise an enchanting experience.

Featuring Fine Artist Valerie Moyer

This year, we are excited to showcase the incredible Valerie Moyer. Valerie is an experienced professional Fine Artist creating landscape and still-life paintings. Her artwork includes custom paintings of personal residences, homesteads, churches, family farms, landmarks, historical buildings, and businesses in both commissioned and noncommissioned form.

Valerie earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Kutztown University and studied at Moore College of Art in Philadelphia. She has been working in the art field for the past 26 years, has won several awards, and exhibits in various galleries. Her wall murals can be found in several locations around Snyder County.

Music by Bret Alexander

As the soul-stirring melodies of Bret Alexander fill the air, you'll be transported to a realm of joy and inspiration. Bret Alexander has been a perennial figure on the Pennsylvania music scene for over 30 years. As a performer, he plays around 200 shows a year, splitting his time between solo performances and his various band lineups. He is also highly sought after as a record producer and engineer, recording and mentoring dozens of artists each year from his studio, Saturation Acres. 

He has toured and shared the stage with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, Bob Seger, The Band, The Allman Brothers, Edwin McCain, Live, The Gin Blossoms, and countless others. His work has been featured on The Winter Olympic Games, MTV, The Real World, Extra, The VMAs, Showtime, and in various films and TV shows. Bret was given The Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2015 Electric City Music Conference. Along with his band The Badlees, he was also inducted into the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame in July 2021.
