Our Story

Founded in 1976, the Cornell Black Alumni Association (CBAA) was established to create a strong communication network and community for Black alumni of Cornell University. Over the past five decades, CBAA's mission and impact have grown significantly, resulting in programs that meaningfully support alumni engagement and student success.

Through four core pillars-Recruitment, Mentorship, Updates, and Scholarships-CBAA empowers alumni to broaden opportunities for African Americans, support talented Black students in accessing the Cornell experience, and inspire future generations to pursue higher education. We remain committed to working alongside Cornell and our community partners to strengthen opportunities for Black students, alumni, faculty, and staff.

Come celebrate our past, invest in our future, and honor the leaders shaping tomorrow.
