Are there rides and activities for toddlers to enjoy?
Yes! The Fall Fair includes at least 2-3 toddler-friendly carnival rides, in addition to the Bounce House and Bubble Train, plus the Petting Zoo (Sunday only). The Arts & Crafts kits are designed to appeal to children of all ages, and there's a Sports Challenge activity for everyone.
I have a food allergy and/or dietary restrictions. Can I eat at the Fair?
Yes! The International Food Tent and Bake Booth are 100% nut-free, and we strive to include options that accommodate other common dietary needs, including gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, soy-free, vegetarian, vegan, Halal, and Kosher-friendly choices. If you have specific questions about food ingredients during the Fair, please ask a volunteer serving the dish or dessert for more information.
Are the fairgrounds accessible for strollers and wheelchairs?
Mostly, yes! The International Food Tent, overflow seating area on the tennis courts, Class Basket displays, main walkways, and vendor areas are paved and mostly flat. The Arts & Crafts booth is located indoors in the Cronin Gym, which is on the ground floor of the building and accessible via a paved walkway from the main parking lot. The carnival rides, Sport Challenge, Ninja Warrior, Pony Rides and Petting Zoo, however, are on a grassy field-the field is mostly flat but areas may be uneven.
Are accessible restrooms available?
Yes! There is a single-occupant, wheelchair accessible restroom near the Cronin Gym on the ground floor of the building.
Is there handicap accessible parking during the Fall Fair?
Space is very limited, but yes! Accessible parking spots are located in the main parking lot closest to the Main Entrance of the school. For assistance with drop-off or parking arrangements for a wheelchair user, please contact Holly O'Brien in advance at [email protected] or (516) 234-6830.
Are there quiet spaces if my child or family members need a sensory break?
Yes. Families are welcome to take a break in the Dining Room or outside in the Powers Family Courtyard.
Who can I contact with questions about access-needs before the Fair?
Holly O'Brien, Assistant Director of Development, (516) 234-6830, [email protected]
Suzanne Bosse, Development Associate, (516) 627-1910 ext. 271, [email protected]
