VIEW ITEMSContinuing our "Diamond Through The Decades" series our game on June 12th will celebrate the 2000s, when the team first moved into town and just went by "Richmond Professional Baseball" before a Name The Team contest lead to the introduction of the Flying Squirrels!
Proceeds from the RPB jersey auction will benefit Flying Squirrels Charities:
Flying Squirrels Charities mission is to provide youth in our community access to athletic and educational opportunities through the game of baseball/softball. We aim to create a positive impact while bringing the FUNN to all we do!
RPS Field Renovations: Flying Squirrels Charities, in partnership with Gilbane, are proud to support youth athletics with baseball and softball field renovations at Richmond Public High Schools. The project will include upgrades to the dugouts, bullpens and backstops as well as field upkeep and maintenance for the baseball & softball programs at Huguenot, John Marshall, Thomas Jefferson and Armstrong High Schools.
All-Star Legacy Scholarship: One (1) $5,000 scholarship to a student-athlete committed to improving their community.
Richmond 34 Scholarship: One (1) $2,000 scholarship, renewable for all four years attending school, to a student attending Virginia State University and one (1) $2,000 renewable scholarship to a student attending Virginia Union University.
