Featuring special musical guest Sylvester Makobi, a native of Nairobi, Kenya, who made his Carnegie Hall debut in May 2024. Makobi is a recipient of both the Emerging Artist Award and the Artistic Advancement Award, granted by the Bloomington Arts Commission, IN.
Makobi will be performing with the acclaimed pianist Kimberly Carballo, Inaugural Director of the Jacobs Virtual Academy at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, and a faculty member in the Chamber and Collaborative Music Department. She is an active international performer and educator, and a strong advocate for local and global community engagement through music.
