In the wake of a devastating missile attack that directly struck Soroka Medical Center, we are called to stand stronger than ever before. Soroka, Israel's lifeline in the South, continues saving lives and providing critical care under fire, a true testament to the courage and dedication of its medical teams. Today, Soroka urgently needs our support to rebuild and restore the essential facilities damaged in this unprecedented attack. As we repair and strengthen Soroka's vital infrastructure, we reaffirm our commitment to its humanitarian mission: providing world-class care and healing to all who rely on it.

While we focus on rebuilding, Soroka's vision for the future remains unwavering. At year end 2025, Soroka will open a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Hospital, offering a seamless path from emergency care to long-term recovery, all under one roof and close to loved ones. This cutting-edge facility will include advanced adult and pediatric services, hydrotherapy, therapeutic living spaces, and integrated mental health support.

At the same time, a new Psychiatry Hospital is in development to provide comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health care, including specialized PTSD treatment for soldiers and survivors, art and music therapy, and innovative integrative approaches.

Together, these projects represent Soroka's unwavering dedication to complete healing, physically and emotionally, and a brighter, healthier future for the Negev and all of Israel. In times of peace, Soroka is celebrated for its centers of excellence, ground-breaking research, life-saving treatments and extraordinary staff. Today, Soroka is at the forefront in responding to the war fulfilling its role as Israel's Medical Iron Dome, responsible for healing Israel's wounded.

The sheer magnitude of casualties of this war, with 680 patients treated on October 7, and to-date over 4000 injured patients treated at Soroka, has tested our treatment capacity. For the seriously injured, a swift transition to rehabilitation is crucial for their full recovery. In order to meet this need, Soroka is opening and equipping new intensive care and rehabilitation units, with unwavering commitment to their humanitarian promise to the people of Israel.
