~From Emptiness to Hope~

Hope

Your donation does more than fill a bowl-it provides a sanctuary and a second chance for Douglas County's most vulnerable paws.

This petite 3-year-old pit bull was found abandoned under a Superior overpass-emaciated, frozen, and barely clinging to life. Though it's impossible to know how long she endured the hunger and cold alone, her will to survive never wavered. Currently receiving emergency care at Blue Pearl Pet Hospital, she faces a delicate road to recovery.

Despite her trauma, her gentle spirit is already shining through. A loving foster home is waiting, but she first requires specialized medical care and intensive nutrition to rebuild her strength. Every dollar is a step forward in her journey-a lifesaving treatment or a moment of comfort she has gone far too long without. Together, we can turn her story of survival into a "furever" future of healing and love.

Your Impact: Your support ensures we can be there for the lost and abandoned animals of Douglas County when they need us most.

Donate Now

Thank you from the bottom of our paws to the depths of our hearts.

Your incredible generosity is the lifeline this sweet girl has been waiting for, turning her darkest days into a journey of hope and healing. By choosing to give, you are personally funding the emergency medical treatments, vital nourishment, and around-the-clock care she needs to transform from emaciated to empowered. You aren't just a donor; you are her guardian angel, proving to her that she is loved, she is seen, and she is finally safe. We are endlessly grateful for your compassion - it is supporters like you who make it possible for us to save lives, one wagging tail at a time.

2026 Animal Highlights

To the Hearts Behind 51 Years of Second Chances,

Welcome to our 20th Annual Paws for Love auction! This year is particularly special as we celebrate 51 years of being a sanctuary for the animals of Douglas County and the City of Superior. For over five decades, we have been the bridge between a life of fear and a life of love-but we've never walked that bridge alone.

Your support has turned thousands of 'lost' stories into 'found' families. Every bid you place throughout this event and every dollar you give is more than a donation; it is a life-saving surgery, a warm bed for a senior dog, and the quiet patience a scared kitten needs to finally trust again.

Please take a moment to watch our video and meet the sponsors and donors who make this possible. Bid high, bid often, and let's make our 51st year the most impactful one yet. Thank you for having a heart for our animals!

We invite you to bid high and bid often-not just for the treasures you'll take home, but for the lives you'll help us save. Let's make our 20th Annual Paws For Love Auction as joyful for us as it is life-changing for them. Have fun!

Thank you to everyone whose generous spirit of giving is vital to this event's success for the 20th year!

On behalf of the thousands of paws you've helped us protect,

Rebecca Alm
