At Make-A-Wish, we know that a wish is more than just a moment-it's a source of hope, strength, and resilience for children battling critical illnesses. A wish has the power to transform lives, bringing joy and inspiration to wish kids and their families while reminding them that anything is possible.

Join us for an unforgettable evening at the 4th Annual Celebration of Wishes on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library.

This year's event is chaired by Mark Hutton, Delaware Regional President, M&T Bank, and we are proud to honor David and Debbie Ross with the Star of Delaware Award. Their dedication to Make-A-Wish reflects a deep understanding of the profound impact a wish can have on a child's medical journey.

Enjoy a night of celebration with heavy hors d'oeuvres and fine wines served throughout the evening, along with inspiring stories from local wish kids and families. The evening will include a special seated program where guests will take part in an exciting live auction and experience the magic of a wish coming true in the room. Connect with fellow philanthropists and community leaders as we come together to make life-changing wishes possible.

This year we will be honoring David and Debbie Ross, dedicated volunteers who have made tremendous contributions to Make-A-Wish Delaware for many years. David and Debbie will be leading the Host Committee, serving as ambassadors in the community to raise awareness and encourage ticket sales for the Celebration of Wishes.

The Star of Delaware Award recognizes leaders who demonstrate steadfast, exemplary support of Make-A-Wish Delaware. The distinguished awardee(s) are leaders who create a pathway to community partnerships because of their passion for the mission and through their networks, helping to elevate and grow Make-A-Wish in Delaware. The Star of Delaware embraces the power of a wish, knowing that the wish journey is a crucial part of a child's medical treatment, helping children heal while uniting families and communities.
