Over the past few months, I've had the honor of working on a portrait of Sergeant Major (Ret.) Kyle Lamb. Yes-that Kyle Lamb. With 21 years in the Army, 15 of those in Delta Force, five tours in Iraq, and numerous awards and decorations-including the Silver Star for his heroic role in the Battle of Mogadishu (Black Hawk Down)-Kyle's career is nothing short of extraordinary. Kyle's story, like the man himself, is defined by courage, humility, and an unwavering commitment to his teammates and country.

When he stopped by the studio, it was more than just a visit. He spent time painting alongside me, and even signed his initials on the weapon in the piece, just as he did in real life during his service. That small detail brought a deep authenticity to the painting, but what I'll remember most were the hours of conversation and sharing a meal together.

This portrait is part of my ongoing Warrior Series, a body of work created to honor America's most elite soldiers and to support the mission of The Light Foundation. It has been an incredible privilege to capture a glimpse of Kyle's journey through this piece, and I'm grateful for his trust and friendship.
