Since 2005, WE CAN's signature event, A Day of Words, Wit, and Wisdom, has become a cherished tradition that the community eagerly anticipates each year. This vibrant and inspiring day brings together renowned authors who captivate audiences with stories of courage, humor, generosity, and love. It's a celebration of connection, inspiration, and storytelling that has become a hallmark of the Cape Cod community.
W3 2025 will be an unforgettable experience you won't want to miss!
WE CAN is dedicated to empowering Cape Cod women by helping them create pathways to stability and independence. Each year, WE CAN supports over 1,400 unique women with free and confidential services, including legal advice, employment and business guidance, financial education, mentoring, and personal development programs. More than half of our participants benefit from multiple services, showcasing the comprehensive and integrated nature of our support.
Our work is made possible by a passionate team of over 300 volunteers, including attorneys, financial professionals, and employment specialists, who generously donate their time and expertise. This dedication is further strengthened by the support of individual donors, businesses, private foundations, and event sponsors, all of whom contribute to sustaining our vital programs.
A Day of Words, Wit, and Wisdom (W3) is one of WE CAN's flagship events, raising crucial funds to ensure our services remain accessible to women across Cape Cod.
Set at the stunning Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port, MA, W3 begins with a delicious breakfast and the opportunity to purchase books from our featured authors. The program includes inspiring talks from three acclaimed authors, as well as our Woman of the Year, all introduced by our incredible Emcee!
The event also features powerful testimonials from three WE CAN participants whose stories illustrate the life-changing impact of our work. A lively Q&A session with the authors will follow, offering attendees the chance to engage directly. The day concludes with the presentation of WE CAN's 2025 Woman of the Year award, honoring an extraordinary individual who embodies the spirit of resilience and empowerment.
