You and your guests are cordially invited to an inspiring celebration of 40 years of impact on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at City Market Social House a contemporary warehouse space in DTLA's Fashion District with Master of Ceremonies, Emmy-nominated actor and producer, Anthony Anderson.
A 40-year history is much to celebrate. Our LACHSA family has a lot to reflect back on, while we dream of what the next 40 years could be for the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.
The arts are an important part of our shared humanity every day, but especially during this time of uncertainty, rebuilding, and recovery all over LA County.
Your support during this very challenging time is important to ensure that LACHSA has everything it needs to serve its public school student artists who create, innovate, and courageously share their art with the world. LACHSA's students, teachers, and alumni prove that this number one public high school for the arts in the nation is worth every investment.
What guests can expect at our Gala:
The 40th Anniversary Gala will feature an intimate and immersive experience at every turn with world-class entertainment by some of L.A.'s most talented professional artists and student artists in music, theatre, dance, cinematic arts and visual arts. Nominated for an Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Award, and winner of multiple NAACP Image Awards, Anthony Anderson is this year's Master of Ceremonies and a member of LACHSA's first admitted class in 1985.
Additionally, we are thrilled to share that Grammy nominated jazz vocalist and LACHSA alumna, Gretchen Parlato, will be performing at the Gala with LACHSA's Impulse Jazz Combo.
At 6pm, guests will enjoy a hosted cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres followed by delicious wines and a three-course gourmet seated dinner curated by Chef Sofia Riley of Thank God It's Sofia Catering and Event Services. The night features an exciting live auction and special appearances from esteemed alumni and the LACHSA family of donors including creative industry executives, celebrities, artists and benefactors across all disciplines. We are also seeking angel investors who will raise their paddle during our live appeal and invest in the next 40 years for LACHSA.
