My name is Lerida Mojica, Founder and CEO of NY CAKE POPS. I was born and raised in Mexico and moved to NYC for a job and stayed for love.
I started making cake pops in 2010 for my kids birthday celebrations in my tiny NYC kitchen. With feedback from friends and family, I decided to put them online and shortly after got a request for one of the biggest beauty retailers for 6,500 cake pops, I couldn't believe it! I rented a shared kitchen and decided to just go for it. Baking all night while our kids were asleep and delivering during the day. With only word of mouth and social media our business started thriving.

The four-year course of study in LACHSA's Theatre Department provides a multi-dimensional experience that captures the breath and depth of theatre as an art form and exposes students to historical, contemporary, social, multicultural, and cutting-edge concepts in theatre. Students are actively involved as creators and evaluators of theatre arts. LACHSA theatre students graduate not only as trained actors with artistic integrity and shared standards of excellence, but critical thinkers, arts leaders and advocates for the theatre arts.
All theatre majors are required to take the first two years of the curriculum. At the end of two years, students may elect to take the Tech Track for the remaining time. The Tech Program prepares students, through coursework and hands-on experiences, to work in technical theater and includes a range of topics designed to give students knowledge and proficient skills, while giving them the opportunity to work behind the scenes in theatre and other professional theatrical venues. However, all Tech students are required to take their Acting class for all four years.

Classes are supplemented by visiting artists, and field trips to LA museums and galleries. Students have exhibit opportunities throughout the year in professional venues and their work is produced in an annual portfolio, The Gift of Love.
