Situated in the hamlet of Compignano approximately nine miles from Lucca in Tuscany, Italy, Villa Sassella exudes serenity and charm.

Enjoy garden and distant mountain views by the home's open-air swimming pool, or rally on the meticulously maintained full-size tennis court surrounded by native woodland. For further entertainment, the property also offers an air-conditioned gym and games room featuring satellite TV, Football table, small library, puzzles, games, and stereo system.

If desired, personalized garden/sightseeing tours, Italian lessons, or a tennis coach, can be organized.

The house is thought to date back to the 14th century and was restored in the 1970s, having been derelict since the 1940s. The most difficult part of your stay will be deciding which of the home's five spacious, character-rich bedrooms you'd like to use! All four double bedded options, as well as the twin room, offer en-suite bathrooms and uniquely beautiful views.

Enjoy the home's fully-fitted kitchen before sitting down for meals or drinks at the generously sized dining room table or on the Pergola Terrace, which offers stunning views and the shade of fragrant foliage such as Wisteria, Honeysuckle, or Jasmin.

Impeccable cooking by the home's personal chef and daily cleaning/laundry service is available, but not included in the auction. This service can be arranged for you prior to your visit, or when you arrive. This service comes highly recommended at a very competitive rate. Chauffeur-driven transport is available for day-trips at an additional cost.

Use of local Italian internet service providers are also available to enable easy internet access from your laptop, and the house also has an unencrypted Wi-Fi connection.
