This playful, no-fear sketching workshop will help up to 20 people rekindle the wonder for drawing they felt as a child. This is a particularly good experience for multiple generations of a family.

Jeanne Kosfeld, the illustrator for the newest RCHS publication, Parks & People: A Colorful History of Saint Paul Parks-a coloring book for park lovers, will share her love for sketching and show you how she approaches a complex scene on location. What location? Any one of the Saint Paul parks featured in this new coloring book! Every participant will leave with a free copy of the coloring book and a sketchbook, ready to give you hours of enjoyment wherever you are!

Instructor Jeanne Kosfeld paints and sketches primarily with water-based media, but her previous body of work includes newspaper design, board game design, creating public sculptures in ice, organic matter, and polymer. Her work appears in public & private collections. She has been honored with artist-in-residencies in numerous local, national, and international parks and historic sites.
