Not just one but two special flower-related classes await you in this amazing auction item!

First, meet up with Clare Holte, Adult Programs Manager of Gibbs Farm, as she helps you and your three (3) besties build your very own flower press. Pressing flowers is an "old fashioned" craft that is coming back in style. You can use your dried pressed flowers in an endless variety of crafts and Clare will get you started off on the right foot!

She will walk you through the steps to measure, drill and assemble your press. After assembling your press, we will head out to the 8-acre site and collect a variety of flowers and foliage to press. This is a chance to observe familiar flowers and recognize the beauty of things we often overlook! Surprise favorites often include strawberry leaves, asparagus fronds, creeping charlie, and individual hydrangea petals!

Second, step into a world of seasonal flowers and experience the art of floral arrangement! Design a stunning flower arrangement that captures the current season. In this intimate class for four (4), award winning floral artist Dixie Nelson, PFD, owner of Lilles de Fleur floral studio, will share her passion of floristry, share tips and tricks of the floral trade and lead you through the process and provide design guidance for creating your very own take-home floral arrangement. Your floral kit will include a hand picked selection of fresh flowers and foliage to create your composition in a reusable vase.

Both classes will take place at Gibbs Farm at times mutually determined by all parties.
