These ornaments were hand painted by the Stockbridge-Munsee Elder's and the Memory Care Program. Each ornament is filled with real pieces of cedar leaves, a purple ribbon charm and a flower petal. Cedar is a representation of a spiritual belief in the Native American
Culture as a source of protection and healing. The purple ribbon charm represents Alzheimer's awareness. The flower petal and the painting on the outside of the ornament represents the Woodland Print. The Woodland floral Print represents Native American Tribes in the Great Lakes. These ornaments are one of a kind and were made by those who are living with some form of Dementia.
