This grant will support authentic learning by allowing teachers to record videos for students to watching in Learning Studios. Marcia Kish is a consultant working with Windsong Elementary this school year to show teaches how to implement Blended Learning in Learning Studios. Students hear the concept being learned in several modalities to help them digest the learning. A teacher will give a mini-lesson to the whole class then students rotate through learning studios which include: small group with teacher, digital content, independent practice, and future ready studios. In the digital content studio students watch a video over a concept to reinforce the learning from the whole group lesson. There are several benefits to this approach. Students can pause the video and restart it or rewatch it if they didn't understand it the first time. Students will then have the opportunity to meet with the teacher in small group so the teacher can check for understanding.

The equipment purchased with this grant will allow teachers to record high quality videos that can be shared in Seesaw or other platforms. The desk stand for the phone allows for an angle of the teachers hand so students can see the teacher using manipulatives and drawing/writing representations of math problems to solve them.
