Let’s level up our learning by installing Promethean Panels in 8th grade US History classrooms! This will not only support our goals in FISD, but student engagement will drastically increase which in turn supports higher achievement. This board will allow teachers to be mobile in the classroom while allowing for increased student engagement. No longer will teachers be tethered to their desk while teaching. Teachers will be able to freely walk around and collaborate with their students during the learning process. Using a Promethean board, teachers can screen record lessons, including classroom voices and annotations on the panel. While teaching a new historical topic, I can cast my screen to my students' personal devices for exceptional visibility. Promethean boards are built and designed for ease of use. This board is equipped with finger recognition and multi-touch recognition so multiple users can immediately begin writing, drawing, and annotating simultaneously. The many features of Promethean boards can instantly turn into a collaborative space for students which greatly enhances the classroom learning environment. Having access to a unified menu with a variety of multimedia tools will allow me to be adaptable and incorporate different modalities of learning during instruction. Promethean panels offer flexibility with how I can deliver instruction whether it’s from the front of the classroom, used as a small group station, or record lessons.
