Chasing the “Wow Factor” in education can often feel like an unattainable challenge. We want to create memorable learning experiences for students that are etched in their minds forever.
When students look back on their elementary years, there will be a handful of “remember that time…?!!!” moments that they recall with light in their eyes and eyebrows peaked.
Picture this…(dramatic music and video on slowmo)...little Johnny…riding horseback (motorized, electric horseback, that is) and rounding the corner of the Learning Commons at Cline Elementary. His hair is blowing in the wind and squeals of laughter echo the halls because he is living out his “Wow Moment”. Following close behind him is the prettiest pink-cheeked little Suzy riding her electric piggy and gaining speed on him with determination. Oh, but wait…this is a parade of silliness with 5 more zoo animals completing the pack! Envious onlookers gawk and smile, hoping that their turn will soon come, too.
THIS is magic. THIS is memories being downloaded, and attached to the long-term Drive file in their minds.
“What on earth are these ride-on ZOO ANIMALS going to be used for?”, you’re probably wondering. We plan to initially utilize them for PBIS incentives. Students would earn a chance to race on them around the school. This could be an individual student ticket purchase, a class raffle drawing for behavior incentives, or attendance incentive parties. The opportunities are endless!
