Students love a challenge and this year I introduced a Perplexus maze ball in the library stations rotations. Students have loved this hands-on experience that uses problem solving, spatial awareness, and perseverance to navigate a small ball through intricate and challenging paths. I am writing this grant to request four more Perplexus maze balls of various difficulties to enhance our library program and promote critical thinking skills among students.
Further incorporating these maze balls into my library classes will create an interactive learning environment where students collaborate and strategize, enhancing their cognitive abilities. As they work to solve the maze, they will develop essential skills such as critical thinking, patience, and fine motor coordination.
These activities will also encourage discussions about strategies and approaches, connecting gameplay to real-world problem-solving scenarios. By providing this innovative resource, I can enrich authentic learning experiences and inspire a deeper love for learning. Your support will help me create a-maze-ing new challenges for Cline students.
