In the SEARCH classroom, we expect students to engage in authentic, hands-on lessons that develop skills in self-directed learning, inductive and deductive thinking, problem-solving, research, and communication. These independent learning activities provide students with opportunities to create innovative products and performances that demonstrate their understanding.
In the United States Project-Based Learning Unit, students research and explore various aspects of the United States. These projects require access to high-quality materials, enabling students to gather and use information as they progress through a series of activities. The unit concludes with students delivering oral presentations to their classmates, sharing both the products they created and the knowledge they’ve gained.
G/T Tenets: Research, Global Awareness, Productive Thinking, Communication, Collaboration.
