Music with John Hermanson

Bid on the chance to host singer-songwriter John Hermanson for an evening of music at your home, church, or other venue. John will bring his music to your event and perform!

Options include a hymn sing-along or a mini concert featuring John's original music. John is also available to lead a Holden-style vespers service using his Isaiah Service of Light, which John wrote while in residence at Holden Village.

Musical offerings for your event to be discussed with John. Locations are limited to the Puget Sound region, Bozeman, Montana, and the Twin Cities area in Minnesota, and are to be scheduled as mutually agreed upon by the winning bidder and John. The performance must occur before Oct. 1, 2025.

John Hermanson is an award-winning songwriter and composer of the acclaimed acoustic duo Storyhill and has also been involved in projects across the musical spectrum, including orchestral, world, pop, rock, and indie genres. Raised in the Lutheran church and rooted in prophetic and mystical traditions, his songs raise ancient yet urgent questions about radical love and mutual responsibility, written in his compelling, distinctive folk style. This summer, John has released a new collection of 25 hymns and liturgical songs drawn from his Isaiah recordings and liturgical music he composed during residencies and for commissions in a variety of contexts--including Holden Village!
