Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment
The Richard D. Wood Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment (CFDT) provides comprehensive care for women carrying babies with known birth defects, from diagnosis and prenatal management through fetal surgery, delivery in our Special Delivery Unit, and care after birth. Experts include pioneers in fetal surgery, and world leaders in maternal-fetal medicine. Every patient and family also receives care from our psychosocial team, including our psychologist. The team works together to provide the best possible care for mother, baby and family. This team is the most experienced in the world in treating complex birth defects. To date have seen almost 33,000 referrals since 1995, from 50 states and >70 countries.
