THERE'S MAGIC ON THE WALKWAY AT NIGHT

The Friends of the Walkway nonprofit organization welcomes you to enjoy amazing Hudson Valley views after dark from 212 feet above the Hudson River at Walkway at Night. With the moon hanging high in the sky and Poughkeepsie and Highland twinkling in the distance, there is nothing like a twilight evening on the World's Longest Elevated Pedestrian Bridge.

Weather permitting, our friends from the Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association will be on-bridge with telescopes to view the night sky.

Walkway members are welcome to attend Walkway at Night events at no cost. Non-members can purchase a ticket for $5 in advance or at the gate. Children 12 and under are free. Pre-registration is encouraged.

All proceeds and additional donations support the Friends of the Walkway and our mission to host community events like Walkway at Night, add amenities to the park, undertake capital construction projects, support the volunteer Ambassadors, and much more.

PLEASE NOTE

PARKING - Parking (including handicapped parking) is available on both sides of the Walkway. For complete parking details, visit walkway.org/visit. Please note the elevator is not operating during this event, so the bridge will not be accessible via parking at the Poughkeepsie Train Station or along Water Street in Poughkeepsie.

ELEVATOR - The elevator does not operate during Walkway at Night.

PETS - We welcome pets to Walkway at Night. Animals must be controlled at all times and on leashes that are no longer than 6 feet. Pets are not permitted in buildings or in any area that is designated as closed to pets. Owners must pick up after their pets and dispose of pet waste properly. We recommend pets wear an illumination device during their visit. This could be an light-up collar, harness, or other device.

ACCESSIBILITY - The Walkway has ADA handicapped-accessible entrances and there are handicap parking spaces at both ends. No stairs are required to access the bridge. The Walkway is a linear park that spans 1.28 miles from gate-to-gate.  It is approximately 0.8 miles from the parking lot to reach the portion of the bridge over the Hudson River when entering from the east (Poughkeepsie) entrance, and approximately 0.3 miles from the parking lot on the west (Highland) side. The elevator does not operate during Walkway at Night. To read about accessibility features, visit the Walkway's FAQ webpage.

RESTROOMS - Indoor restrooms are available inside the Welcome Centers on both approaches.

WEATHER - If inclement weather makes the bridge unsafe for visitors, New York State Parks staff may close the bridge until conditions improve. If this happens during a Walkway at Night event, the event may be postponed or cancelled. Updates will be posted to Walkway's website and social media channels.

REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. In the event a Walkway at Night is cancelled, ticket holders will be offered a transfer of their tickets toward a Walkway at Night event happening later in the season.
