Hosted by TV, film, and Broadway actor Erich Bergen (Madam Secretary, Jersey Boys, Love Story: JFK Jr. & Carolyn Bessette), the 2026 SeriesFest Soirée will honor the following individuals and organization for their outstanding contributions to television and their dedication to bold, impactful storytelling:
- Cable TV pioneer and Founder & Former Chairman of Starz Entertainment, John J. Sie, will receive the inaugural Visionary Award.
- The Good Place Actor & Comedian D'Arcy Carden will receive the Excellence in Acting Award
- The Testaments actress Amy Seimetz will receive the Spotlight Performance Award.
- Bridgerton director Gia Rayne B. Harris will receive the Ambassador Award.
- Littleton Road Productions, the company behind Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, will receive the Impact in Television Award, presented by actor Michael Chernus and accepted by founder Patrick Macmanus.

ABOUT JOHN J. SIE
John J. Sie (traditional Chinese name 謝誠剛, Simplified Chinese name 谢诚刚) is a Chinese-American visionary, telecommunications pioneer, engineer, and philanthropist, whose leadership fundamentally reshaped the global media landscape. Widely recognized as the "Father of Digital Television," John is credited with transitioning the cable television industry from analog to digital through his advocacy before the United States Congress and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the late 1980s, and pioneering modern viewing habits through Subscription Video-On-Demand (SVOD).
John is the founder and former Chairman and CEO of Starz Entertainment Group LLC. His illustrious career included C-level positions at Telecommunications, Inc, Showtime Networks, Jerrold Electronics, and Microstate Electronics, a Raytheon subsidiary. John attributes his success to key mentors including Dr. John C. Malone and his mother, Yong Yuan Foo.
Following his career, John and his wife, Anna Maria Sie, established the Anna & John J. Sie Foundation focusing their time on philanthropic endeavors. Their foundation has invested in film and television non-profits, Chinese and Italian cultural initiatives, and is the largest private funder of Down syndrome research and medical care inspired by one of their granddaughters who happens to have the condition.

ABOUT D'ARCY CARDEN
A delightful actress with a gift for comedy, Emmy nominee D'Arcy Carden continues to endear audiences with appearances in critically acclaimed projects.
Carden is set for a big year as one of the leads in the new series coming to Peacock July 16th, THE FIVE-STAR WEEKEND. She is joined by the all -star cast of Jennifer Garner, Chloë Sevigny, Regina Hall, and Gemma Chan. She also stars in the critically acclaimed Australian comedy series with Will Forte that is now streaming on Hulu, SUNNY NIGHTS. She is also co-hosting the new HGTV show alongside her real-life bestie, Sherry Cola, WILD VACATION RENTALS.
She can be seen stealing scenes in the last season of THE HANDMAID'S TALE, the second season of critically acclaimed show, NOBODY WANTS THIS, and has a hilarious role in the most recent season of LOOT opposite Maya Rudolph.
Carden starred in Abbi Jacobson and Will Graham's A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN reboot and can also be seen in critically acclaimed HBO show, BARRY. She made her Broadway debut in THE THANKSGIVING PLAY in 2023.
Her breakout performance as 'Janet' starring opposite Ted Danson and Kristen Bell in NBC's hit comedy, THE GOOD PLACE, has received continuous praise. Her performance earned her a 2020 Emmy nomination in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
Carden was the host of her own podcast, "WikiHole" for Smartless Media. Additional credits include SKETCH, SHOTGUN WEDDING, BOMBSHELL, BROAD CITY, and VEEP.

ABOUT GIA-RAYNE B. HARRIS
Gia-Rayne B. Harris is a writer-director born in Mississippi, whose work centers on intimate, character-driven stories that explore the lives of womxn and BIPOC communities.
Harris recently directed an episode of Netflix's global phenomenon Bridgerton (Season 4), Episode 405 "Yes or No." She made her television debut on NBC's Chicago P.D. through the NBCUniversal Launch Female Forward Program, where her episode ranked among the season's most-watched, and returned in 2024 to direct a subsequent episode. Her thirteen short films include Pens & Pencils, an NAACP Image Award-nominated short now streaming on HBO Max.
She recently completed the Netflix Series Director Program and is an alum of NBCU Launch Female Forward, the DGA Director Development Initiative, the Women In Film Directing Fellowship (and now serves as a WIF mentor). She is currently a member of DGA Squad. Harris was also the winner of the 2022 Shondaland/SeriesFest Women Directing Mentorship. Harris earned her MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute and is an alumna of the University of Pennsylvania. She is represented by WME and Heroes and Villains Entertainment.
ABOUT AMY SEIMETZ
A true multi-hyphenate, Amy co-created, wrote, directed and produced two seasons of the Golden Globe nominated Starz series THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE for exec-producer Steven Soderbergh; and has collaborated with Donald Glover both directing multiple episodes of the award-winning FX series ATLANTA, and Amazon's MR & MRS. SMITH
As an actress, Amy stars in the upcoming Hulu series THE TESTAMENTS, a prequel to THE HANDMAID'S TALE. Recently she acted in Steven Soderbergh thriller NO SUDDEN MOVE for HBO Max, and Jim Mickle's Netflix's hit comic book adaptation SWEET TOOTH, starred opposite Jeff Daniels in the CBS All Access miniseries THE COMEY RULE, and opposite Jason Clarke as the lead in Paramount's PET SEMATARY. Other recent credits include Ridley Scott's ALIEN: COVENANT for Fox, the independent feature MY DAYS OF MERCY opposite Kate Mara and Elliot Page, and a recurring role on the hit Netflix series STRANGER THINGS.
Amy wrote and directed the Spirit Award nominated psychological thriller SHE DIES TOMORROW which premiered at SXSW and was picked up by Neon. She was previously nominated for THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE and was nominated for the "Best Actress" Gotham Award for her work in Shane Carruth's feature UPSTREAM COLOR as well as a Gotham Award nomination for "Breakthrough Director" for Amy's feature directorial debut SUN DON'T SHINE.
