The 14th Annual Atascadero Kiwanis & Mayors' Winemaker Dinner

This year's gala will be held in the Atascadero Lake Pavilion and will benefit a long-time local organization: ECHO (both Atascadero and Paso Robles campuses).

Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres on the pavilion lanai, followed by a formal gourmet catered dinner with winery owners or representatives at each table. Festivities also include a live auction, a raffle, and a silent auction. Beginning June 7, you can bid on silent auction items using your cellphone on the GiveSmart app.  Text winemaker24 to 76278.

Now in its 55th year of service in the community, Kiwanis has donated close to one-half million dollars since that first dinner in 2011. The beneficiaries from our previous fundraisers have included ECHO, Joy Park playground, Boys & Girls Club, Lighthouse Mentor Program, ALF Food Pantry, along with scholarships to graduating seniors, and several other youth and community service projects / programs / causes.

"The Atascadero Kiwanis Club is excited to be coordinating the 14th annual Winemakers' Dinner. We hope you will join us this year in raising funds for the El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO) as they continue to support the unhoused and affect change in the homeless community in the North San Luis Obispo County," Cyndi Workman, club president.

ECHO operates two facilities in North County that each provide meals and a safe and secure overnight shelter to meet the immediate needs of families and individuals in our community who are facing hunger and homelessness.  Residents are provided individual case management services to assist them in securing a job and finding permanent and sustainable housing.  While staying at ECHO, residents are taught life skills for employment, financial literacy, health care management, and parenting.

A force of 1,500 community volunteers provide ancillary support to run the shelter programs and meal programs that serve as many as 150 dinners each night to shelter residents and people facing hunger and homelessness in the community.

 Thank you for your support!
