About "The Cheech" project:
The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art, Culture, and Industry of the Riverside Art Museum seeks to transform Riverside's 1964 downtown library building into a world-wide center for Chicano art, culture, and industry. With a preliminary completion date of 2020, "The Cheech" will bring thousands of visitors to Riverside and the Inland Southern California region, and will have a significant impact on the local economy. Importantly, "The Cheech" will provide a place for all to see, study, and discuss the various intersections of Chicano art, a movement that transcends worlds, cultures, and experiences.
