A forward message from Richard Spurling, Co-Founder of ACEing Autism & Executive Director

The idea of designing a tennis program specifically tailored to children with autism came after conversations between myself, a tennis teaching professional, and Dr. Shafali Jeste, an autism researcher, and our mutual desire to do good. After the successful launch of the ACEing Autism pilot program in 2008, we realized the tremendous impact this program had, not only on the children with autism, who often experienced improvements in motor skills, social skills and overall fitness- but on their families and the volunteers we engage through our clinics. Our model is scalable, and over the last 10 years, we have successfully grown from 1 location in Massachusetts to 62 locations across 28 states, serving over 1,000 children. We hope you'll join us as we celebrate our 10th birthday this November and raise critical funds and awareness to help ACEing Autism expand to serve 90 locations by 2020, and exceed our ultimate goal of expanding ACEing Autism's services to 500 sites nationwide.

About ACEing Autism

ACEing Autism is a national 501c3 non profit organization that enhances the lives of children with autism through adaptive tennis programs. Founded in 2008 by Richard Spurling, a tennis professional, and Dr. Shafali Jeste, an autism researcher, ACEing Autism has grown from 1 flagship location in Wayland, MA into a vibrant, volunteer driven organization that serves over 1,200 children through 62 program locations in 28 states.

The expansion continues, as we are just beginning to meet the needs of the thousands of children with autism across the country. Our success lies in our commitment to tailoring the program to the needs of each individual child with autism, and the passion and dedication of our volunteers- who make our programs possible. With your support, we look forward to surpassing our 2020 vision of expanding our services to 90 locations.
