Friday, September 7 - Bidding opens for all silent auction items beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Saturday, September 15 - The 2018 Night with the Norse Fall Gala will take place at Great American Ball Park. Doors open at 7:00p.m. with a preview of the auction items, live band, and drinks. Dinner will be at 7:30 p.m. All silent auction items will close at 8:00 p.m. for dinner and speeches but will reopen once they are completed. The silent auction will fully close at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 15.
Items are available to pick up following the event on September 15th or on Tuesday, September 18th at BB&T arena in the athletic offices from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Please contact the NKU Athletic Development Office at 859-572-7894 if you would like to have an item shipped or have any questions about picking up an item.
2018 Night with the Norse Keynote Speaker: Anthony Munoz
Former Cincinnati Bengal and Pro Football Hall of Fame member Anthony Munoz highlights Northern Kentucky University's third-annual A Night with the Norse gala. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15, at Great American Ballpark's FOX Sports Club.
Munoz was the 3rd overall pick in the 1980 NFL Draft, joining the Cincinnati Bengals organization following an all-american career at the University of Southern California that included a national championship in 1978.
For the Bengals, Munoz went to 11-consecutive Pro Bowls and helped lead the team to the Super Bowl in both 1981 and 1988. He earned seven combined offensive lineman of the year awards and was named the NFL Man of the Year in 1991. Munoz was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 1998 and is a member of the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team.
Known for his devotion to improving the lives of those living in the Tri-State region, He established the Anthony Munoz Foundation in 2002, a non-profit organization that engages the Tri-State region to impact area youth mentally, physically and spiritually. Munoz regularly speaks at high school assemblies and participated in several military events.
