A MAGICAL NIGHT ON THE HISTORIC DISNEY FAMILY FARM

Welcome to the 2nd annual 2018 Dreaming Tree Gala, supporting the Walt Disney Hometown Museum. On Saturday, August 11th, 2018 we'll be celebrating all things Disney in Walt's boyhood hometown of Marceline, Missouri. This 'country casual' event will be focused on mid-west BBQ, amazing conversations and toe-tapping music, all set in the magic of the original Disney Family Farm.

Our gala host is former 2005 Walt Disney World Ambassador Christopher White. Christopher is a Disney historian and tremendous supporter of the Marceline story. This year Chris will be welcoming Disney Legend Floyd Norman as our keynote speaker, and veteran Walt Disney World performer Yehaa Bob Jackson as our special musical guest. It's a night designed to capture the hearts of Disney fans of every age.

Since 2001, the Walt Disney Hometown Museum has been working diligently to keep the story of Walt's affection for his boyhood hometown alive and vibrant. Through first hand stories and immersive gallery displays, the museum reminds everyone that dreams are always worth pursuing, no matter what limitations stand in your way.

Every year the Dreaming Tree Gala will give Disney fans a unique opportunity to come together in an intimate setting, succumb to the temptation of an amazing meal, hear a few 'never before shared' stories and rally around a promise made to Ruth Disney that her family's story will always be told in the city they loved so much - Marceline.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: FLOYD NORMAN

Floyd Norman is an artist, an entrepreneur, an activist and a bonafide true-to-life Disney Legend.

Starting as an assistant to comic book legend Bill Woggon, Floyd eventually found himself working at the Disney Studio on classic films such as Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, The Sword in the Stone and The Jungle Book. Ultimately venturing out on his own under the Vignette Films banner, Floyd soon found himself returning to his animated roots with projects at Hanna-Barbera, Filmation Associates, and an eventual return to Disney and their digital brothers at Pixar.

We invite you to spend a magical evening on the Disney Family Farm as Floyd reminisces about his amazing career, explores the inspiration that Walt found in Marceline and how Floyd and fellow Disney Legend Richard Sherman infused that love for Marceline into their latest collaboration 'A Kiss Goodnight'.

MUSICAL GUEST: YEHAA BOB JACKSON

Bob Jackson, better known as Yehaa Bob to his legions of Port Orleans - Riverside groupies, is one of America's funniest entertainers. Bob has been bringing laughter and music to audiences at Walt Disney World for more than twenty years, and was awarded the Disney Legacy Award in 2013. Bob combines his great boogie woogie piano skills with comedy and singalong to create a unique audience-interactive experience, sure to bring excitement to the Disney Family Farm.
