The annual Mardi Grass Charity Ball is the premier fundraising event for Junior Board of Rock Island, whose mission is working together to serve children in the Quad-Cities community. All money raised will fund the Nest newborn program in collaboration with UnityPoint at Home, their Project Nest and Project Nest Egg Scholarship programs, and other child-related programs.

Vintage Hollywood Nights will begin with the flash of bright lights and a walk up the red carpet to the cocktail reception. A formal dinner and dancing will follow, and the glitz of the filmmaking industry decor will set the perfect tone for a romantic and memorable night on the dance floor.

The evening of pageantry will include the introduction of the court, the attendants (high school senior girls) and pages (high school junior boys), and will end with a focus on service with the coronation of the 2018 Mardi Gras king and queen.

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by the Terry Hanson Ensemble and DJ Jonny Ossian.
