On the big day, this lucky Cove Dean for the Day will first choose a special theme for the school to follow. The winner will meet with Mr. Wall prior to the big day to discuss any ideas the Dean for the Day would like to incorporate and to create a schedule and plan for the day.

The day's schedule will be tailored to the winner to create a memorable and special day. She/he will be busy greeting teachers and students as they arrive and delivering the morning announcements. Next, while proudly wearing an official Dean for the Day name badge, the student will answer the phones from the front office. Before their lunch of choice with Mr. Wall and two friends is delivered, your Cove student will distribute his/her own Dean for the Day officially printed business cards. In the afternoon, he/she will meet with Dr. Sover over hot chocolate and cookies for a debriefing. Finally, the student will have a chance to distribute passes to his/her favorite classes for a "sneaky recess" while walking the halls and delivering write-ups to teachers.

In addition to the Dean for the Day opportunity, Cove has arranged for donuts or another peanut-free snack for the entire class to be delivered to the student's homeroom on their birthday or half-birthday! During morning announcements, a birthday wish will be sent to the student for the whole school to hear. A Photo Memory Book will be created for your student as a keepsake for years to come!
